The sewage system flooded basements, causing the city of Boston to lift the small neighborhood 18 ft above sea level. Gravel and rail was used under the houses. Some backyards were only lifted 12 ft above sea level. Today, as many walk by, they can notice the sunken gardens and it is just a reminder of how much history this neighborhood has endured. Imaging those people in the 1860 's waking up to sewage filled basements must have been a catastrify.

I have been really enjoying my story The priests graveyard so far it brings you on a rollercoaster. It makes it difficult to guess what is going to happen next. All though its difficult story to predict there are obvious objects playing a role in the book. The first object is a human in the story but I am referring to him as an object because Renee depends on him for survival.
The Egyptian Book of The Dead is the 9th century name for a compilation of spells. These spells were used to ensure that when the Egyptians died they had sufficient knowledge and power to guide them through the afterlife or Duat. A Duat is a journey that had to be made to reach eternal life, or paradise. These texts have been around for a very long time, and have been in practice for thousands of years, “1These funerary texts were first produced at the beginning of the New Kingdom, and were still in use 15,000 years later” (British Museum 1). Many of our ancestors were very religious, and believed in many different practices; the Book of the Dead shows this.

During slavery many blacks died for various reasons and when someone would die there would be some type of proper ceremony and burial given to that person by other slaves on the plantation. Since slaves did not physically have much, the possibility of having a fancy grave marker when you died was basically impossible. The Royal Menagerie is one of the most interesting things that I learned about the Tower.

The Sistine Chapel in Rome, Italy was first completed in 1481. Throughout the years, there have been multiple restorations of the ceiling to remove debris and clean the artwork. These restorations created much controversy on whether the cleaning was ethical and kept the artists initial intent. The restorations have kept the ceiling in tact and from fading in color and forms completely, however, it also changed the original beauty of Michelangelo’s work. There is not a single way to examine the legitimacy of these restorations, nor is there one correct opinion because every argument intertwines and influences the other.
