Many people play video games for various reasons. Some others play in order to kill the time, some for releasing stress, and for some, it is a way of allowing them to use their full abilities. This is because when on plays video games, he is placed in a state of "flow", where he becomes so focused and interested and excited about the game his playing. Players comprise of male and female children, adolescents, and even adults. Because of its popularity, there has been an issue raised whether playing video games can cause violence has caught the public attention and has been debated since then (Craig, Douglas, and Buckley). It cannot be denied that games alter the way people behave and think. And these changes can lead to surprising results (Larkin). A study was conducted, published on March 24 in the JAMA Pediactrics, among children between eight (8) and seventeen (17) years of age. They were surveyed every year about the video games they play and what are their favorites. During the three-year period, the researchers determined that the kid's exposure to violent video games were more like to engage in aggressive behavior (Mozes). This claim is also supported by the American Psychological Association which published a report and concluded that playing video games increases the aggression of a person. However, this claim is not supported with enough research whether games can cause actual criminal violence. The persons tasked to review such query reviewed one hundred seventy studies on game and violence. It was found that the current research is insufficient.
