What I thought it suggested was that he was doing something to help this girl that he didn 't do for Hannah. The author is trying to hint that he can help people and to not let his reputation or rumors get in the way. For me it is because it is a new beginning and i think that it was satisfying because Hannah 's death helped clay prevent another potential suicide. 3)
I read 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. In this book, the rocket slide represents innocence. This relates to the book because Hannah was innocent the whole time. Why you ask, it is because even though all these damaging things were being said about her, she never actually did any of them. “a few weeks ago, the city announced plans to tear the rocket slide down.
This teenager is full of insecurities, like most teenage girls. All she want is for people to think she is good and care about her, even if it was something bad. Because she keeps mentioning about her death and how people would react. The girl just wants somebody’s attention
Hannah has chosen to isolate herself from society and neglect her surroundings. This ignorance allows her to separate herself from the normalities someone of her age would live with, leaving a life revolving solely around piano. She disregards her friends and family, which portrays her level of ignorance. Furthermore, as Hannah progresses through her youth, she begins to realize all the things she misses due to the way she lives. As she becomes more aware of this, an urge builds up inside of her to “break [her] promise to Tante Rose” (4).

Daemonologie and the religious tensions of late 16th Century Scotland In the second half of the 16th century, Scotland was experiencing a political and religious revolution with war between Catholics and Protestants, the progression of the Reformation and tensions between church and state. In 1597, following his involvement in the North Berwick Witch Trials, James VI published a treatise called Daemonologie. This work had a significant impact, sparking a widespread national witch hunt.
As a result, teens who are faced with these problems later in life, having never wrestled with them before may have a very harmful or dangerous reaction. These negative reactions can be reduced if teens are exposed to the dark themes present in this book in the classroom. Another way this book can help teens is the fact that the book makes teens fell as if they are not alone. Andrew Skerritt justifies this "They help teenagers feel they're not alone in dealing with the issues they face. If a book deals with a girl getting pregnant, it doesn't mean the author is glamorizing teen pregnancy" (Skerritt).
Hannah Baker was a freshman in highschool when she took her own life. It came as a shock and no one expected it, yet no one noticed the many signs she was leaving that all pointed to suicide. When she left tapes with a list of names explaining that they are the reasons she took the pills, it came as even more of a shock. All because of the bullying she had gone through. This is a story many young adults could relate to and would enjoy.
13 Reasons why was published as a book in 2007, 10 years ago. 10 years later, it was produced as a tv show. Both have a lot in common since they are based on the same plot. They are both about a girl that committed suicide and left 13 tapes explaining who caused her to kill herself and what they had done to her.
Argumentative Essay In the USA, there is an overwhelming number of children are dying every day, influencing a great deal of money that is spent, while the topic of gun control is discussed as a solution for these events. There is a big talk about deciding if creating more gun control laws is the right decision to prevent more events of gun violence. Everyone knows that gun control laws are not a realistic solution because guns don't kill people. Gun control is not the answer to our nation's number of violent shootings; because most of these shootings happen as a result of mental health struggles and also because there is an overwhelming lack of early crisis intervention screening programs as well as a need for better education for caregivers
Thirteen Reasons Why Suicide. S-u-i-c-i-d-e, seven letters used to describe a topic that is often shied away from talking about. However, the book, 13 Reasons Why, by Jay Asher, is all about suicide. This book will enlighten you about the reasons why someone chose to end their life.
“Depression is a disorder most commonly associated with adolescent suicide” (Hittleman 1). When the pain is too hard to endure, some choose to intentionally end their own lives. Teens usually face more difficulties than tweens, yet they’re not as mature as adults, making them the most vulnerable victims of depression. In Jay Asher’s novel Thirteen Reasons Why, he made an accurate portrayal of depression by delineating the pessimistic thoughts of protagonist Hannah Baker throughout her story, and without receiving succor from her friends, teachers or parents, committed suicide to end an unabated affliction. Depression is an agonizing experience, yet it can be imperceptible from outside.
This also promotes suicide by displaying that if you can not be with someone you love it's better to die. This may promote the views on suicide because Romeo and Juliet say it's better to end their lives than not be with each other. Which can led to teens thinking the same way as they do
It’s no secret that young people are not very rational. They rush into things and often don’t consider the consequences of their actions. This isn’t their fault. It’s just their lack of experience in life. There are many examples of this in literature and television.
