Divorce is typically a harsh process for all parties involved. More so, it can be a life changing event for children if the process is full of turmoil. As social workers dealing with divorce we must be component on pre and post conditions of all parties involved in divorce especially children. If there are pre divorce conditions that exist in a child’s life the divorce process could worsen their issues. Research that involves the study of divorce and its effect on children varies and support various viewpoints associated with its effects on a child’s development.
