Isabella Baumfree, now known as Sojourner Truth, was born into slavery in 1797, though her birthdate was not recorded. Isabella Baumfree protested when John Dumont , Isabella Baumfree 's previous owner whom she ran away from, sold her son, Peter, to a family in Alabama. Two white lawyers, whom we don 't know the name of, in New York gave Baumfree free legal help and liberated Peter through the courts. Sojourner Truth moved to Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1857 and became active there helping black people escape on the Underground Railroad to freedom.

Her grandmother often told her stories of slave revolts and how oppressive life was as a slave (“Who Was Ella Baker?”, 2015). Baker studied at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina and was elected valedictorian when she graduated in 1927 with a degree in sociology (“Who Was Ella Baker?”, 2015). Baker began to cultivate her radical activism by protesting rules and policies of the university that were discriminating (“Who Was Ella Baker?”, 2015).

The movie Romeo and Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann was originally written as a play by William Shakespeare in 1597. A major turning point in the film is when romeo 's friend mercutio is stabbed by Juliet 's cousin Tybalt. Leading up to this scene is the scene where tybalt notices that romeo (whose family the Capulets have been fighting with Tybalt 's family the Benvolio 's.) has crashed his party. Tybalt is enraged by this and so the next day he goes down to the beach to pick a fight with romeo. The scene begins with mercutio and a group of friends talking on the beach, the benvolio 's then pull up in their car and begin to slowly walk towards mercutio and his friends.
