In Lois Lowry’s novel, The Giver, the protagonist Jonas is a dynamic and round character whose purpose is to be the hero of the story. In writing this paper, I proved how Jonas is a dynamic and round character. In writing this paper, I realized that Jonas is actually a really brave character. I realized that Lois Lowry is really good at creating characters. Lastly, I learned that being different isn’t a bad thing.
However, The Giver has a memory of the past, color, and emotions. The Giver transmits these memories to Jonas, and the two of them are the only people in their community with this knowledge.
