Nick has a contradictory and ambiguous view of Gatsby. He rules against Gatsby's style of life at different parts in the book due to his morals and manners, but at first he likes him and eventually comes to strongly love Gatsby, who explains the book in a pretty exquisite tone. "One of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance that you may come across four or five times in life," according to Nick, describes Gatsby. Nick is first taken aback by Gatsby's kindness and mystique. Having been Dan Cody's assistant and experiencing his lifestyle, Gatsby has a clear aim in mind to succeed, which makes his objectives seem admirable throughout the book. Until the very end of the narrative, when he appears to be an innocent and idealistic young man with lofty goals, Gatsby's motivations aren't entirely evident. It is his capacity and will to rise above his terrible circumstances of dropping out of college and working as a janitor that truly earns him the title of "great." Hi there, this is Nick Carraway. Gatsby was a fantastic man who always set very high standards for himself and served as an inspiration to everyone. He demonstrated that despite all the challenges life throws at you, you can become wealthy and realize your aspirations if you work hard and are dedicated to the process. It's ironic that I initially got to know Gatsby because of his lavish parties, which were his most well-known characteristic.
