Cottage industry means when different units operating independently focus on its own performance (i.e., the standards set by branch B does not generally attempt to coordinate the processes or performance with those of branch C and D).
The healthcare delivery system is described as a cottage industry because each branch operates independently from each branch by not making it a system. But as a system it will require each participating branch in a healthcare to recognize its dependence and influence on all by optimizing the performance of the system as a whole. B)
The health care quality measures safeness, effectiveness, patient-centered, time, efficient and equitable. C)
There are 4 levels of healthcare system
