A Field Guide for the Hero’s Journey it’s a guide that inspire us to want to become better to become heroes of our lives. Jeff Sandefer and Rev. Robert A Sirico inspired me with this book. While I was reading it I had the feeling that I want to go out and show the world who I am, and what can I do. I want to become a hero. We know that we can do everything if we just propose to do it. So we have to commit our body and soul to find and follow over a heroic path. Even when we know that this one will be full of danger, trials, stumbling blocks, devastating defeat, emotional, psychological, and physical scarring, what is important is to take that first step so that we will never be counted among those whom neither know victory or defeat. But the authors say that sometimes during the journey it will be mentors that will not help us the way we expect them to do it. We have to be ready to hear things that we don’t want to hear and know that no body can’t tell us that we can't do something, because believe that we can’t do something is the worst thing that we can ever do. We need to have a stepping stones to lead us to our next adventure; we need to see failure as stepping stones to success. So we must be willing to fail if we want to succeed. We will face great obstacles along this journey bigger than stumbling blocks and stepping stones. These life-altering challenges are called “dragons” in the hero’s journey. We need strong loyal relationships. Set aside time for those who have always supported us, and show them that we will always support them. Learn about others learn about their goals and dreams. Seek ways to help because as we focus on someone other than ourselves our own problems shrink, our perspective broadens and deepens. And eventually their actions will sustain us in our journey. But this is not a guarantee that we will not face dark valleys through that path and miss our mark. So to find the light we have to stay focus on our purposes and remember our dream. In this our companions can help us, since not everyone in our life will feel discourage at the same time. If we believe in God, then we have to devote ourselves to prayer. Ask for his help, and go and believe that the light will come. This will help you through the inevitable time of discouragement until the sunlight again returns. We know that the journey will take time so we must have in mind that we are working hard so at some time we need to rest. Without rest we think less clearly, we make poor decisions. So rest means getting sufficient sleep, but also means allowing ourselves periods of down time, times when we are awake but our brain is allowed to be offline. When we do this we will be able to return to work and resolve problems easy. We will be ready to fight with everything that shows up in our
