In unit 2 I learned a lot about my personality, and what kinds of careers would best fit my personality. One thing that we did was the Holland self assessment and the Holland code. Both these things were to see what kind of work environment would be best for you. These categories were, realistic, investigative, artistic, enterprising, conventional. When I did the first assessment my highest categories were artistic, social, and enterprising. And when I took the second assessment I got the same exact thing. Secondly, I chose social because of the things that you needed to have in order to fit that category. Sure, I am a little shy but I am pretty good at making conversation and once I get to know people I am no longer shy. Also a career that in includes a social atmosphere requires you to get along with others, help people with problems, and be helpful. That's why I chose this as my second letter because I truly felt that it would be the best career for me, I love helping others and am really good at mediating disputes. When debating a topic you have to write about it in a certain way that fits what the stance you're taking. For instance, is it argumentative or informative? What side are you choosing? It would also fit the social category because I would be working with people of varying cultures. For instance, I would have to interview people of wide ranging cultures to get the story I needed, and would have to travel a lot as well, so having people to guide me through foreign countries would be important as well. I would also have to be social because more often than not I would be working in an office setting where I would have to talk to different people every day. It would fit the enterprising category because part of being a journalist is writing articles. This usually means picking a side and keeping with it, by writing argumentative articles. By doing this I would be using persuasion to convince others of my ideas. Overall, photojournalism would
