The Italian Renaissance
1330-1550

The Renaissance “the rebirth” of literature, art and philosophy of the human body, after the “Dark Ages”.Was not only in Italy but affected the whole of Europe. The human body was now not seen as a sinful bag of fluids but as the temple of God, an image of Him. Roman and Greek art was also discovered. The reason the Renaissance was big in Italy was because of the money they had. Florence,at that, made textiles and Milan made the weapons and Venice was just making a lot of money from trade with the Ottomans. The most traded item during this time were the textiles from Venice with the Ottomans and the reason the Ottomans wanted to buy the textiles is because they remained vibrant and colourful for a long time.
