In the book, The Hunger Games, one of the main events is when Katniss volunteers for her sister, Prim, to participate in the annual Hunger Games. After reading this event, I was very surprised. I noticed that Katniss surprised herself by saying she would volunteer, but then quickly recovered once she remembered that the reaping would be shown on television. “…this is upsetting me and I don’t want to cry. When they televise the replay of the reapings tonight, everyone will make note of my tears, and I’ll be marked as an easy target.
Suzanne collins the author of the novel Mockingjay generates nearly constant suspense throughout, this constant suspense it driven by the various conflicts that Katniss Everdeen is faced with, although these conflicts have negative impacts they help keep Katniss on track and motivated to achieve her goals. Many characters change for the better or worse due to certain events and aftermaths that carry along with them. Katniss being the main character who has to face and deal with many problems. Some of the major conflict that encounters is with herself, other people and society. near the beginning of the novel katniss had been left traumatized from early events that had taken place in the previous hunger games.
My animal is the OP Narwhal Dragon. It has the long slender body and wings of a dragon with the head and tail of a cartoon narwhal from the narwhal song. It lives in the Arctic Ocean, swimming around in the ocean itself and also swims above the ocean. It is a carnivore with a diet consisting mostly of fish with the occasional polar bear. Its adaptations are its ability to breathe fire, its extreme intelligence, its hypnotic skills, and its amazing razor-sharp horn which blasts beams of pure energy.

The important aspects that were shown throughout the book was survival and dependence, many times in the book someone needed to put themselves first in order to survive, and put their own trust into someone else. After Katnisses father had passed she had to take on that role of parenthood for her little sister Prim, her mom couldn’t be trusted with that duty since she would leave for days on end.
