Both books show, sometimes life is not fair so you learn to not give up and fight back. They show this differently because one book shows Katniss just goes into the Hunger games and doesn’t fight back. The other other book shows Katniss fights back and tries to not go in the Hunger games. The Hunger games is about this girl named Katniss and the boy who gave her bread get picked to go into the Hunger games. The Hunger games is where 2 kids from every district get picked to go and fight for their lives.
Not only do they both fit the common theme, they both are slightly different. The Hunger Games is more set up for death and Katniss has to kill to return home to her family. ‘“Oh, well, I think. There will be twenty-four of us. Odds are someone will kill him before I do,’”(Collins 330).

In the movie, The Hunger Games it stated, “Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.” Each story represents hope and fear. In the story “The Lottery” and the movie, The Hunger Games the main characters Katniss Everdeen and Tessie Hutchinson feared death, but hoped for everything to be fine. Katniss hoped and her hope came true, Tessie on the other hand, did not turn out the same.
Comparison Paper: The Hunger Games The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is all about Katniss Everdeen volunteering as tribute from District 12 to fight for her life at the city of Panem in the hunger games. Katniss is the protagonist of the novel. She is very quiet, humble and intelligent girl. Katniss is an excellent hunter, archer, gatherer, and trapper, skilled just like her deceased father.

Losing means certain death.” Suzanne Collins’ book, The Hunger Games, illustrates a dystopic future in “the country that rose up out of the ashes of a place that was once called North America.” (pg. 21). Katniss Everdeen the protagonist lives in District 12 of Panem where the totalitarian government, run by the Capitol, separates her district from the 11 other districts and places clear class separations.
The story is more detailed than the movie. The hunger games is about 12 districts that live in the city of panem and each year 2 young competitors from each district are selected to play the hunger games.which the will have to kill for first place. 24 competitors are forced to fight and be the last one alive. Prim was selected to represent district 12 and her sister katniss volunteers to take her place in the hunger games to be a representative. The movie is less detailed than the story.
As J.W. Eagon once said “NEVER judge a book by its movie”. Suzanne Collins’s “The Hunger Games”, is a novel created into a movie in 2012 by Gary Ross. Both the book and novel study the life of Katniss Everdeen, who happens to come from District 12 which is the poorest district because of District 13s horrible downfall. When Katniss’s sister Prim is chosen for the reaping she wants to volunteer to save her by taking her place in The Hunger Games, but what she doesn’t know is that the male tribute for the hunger games is someone who saved her life of starvation when she was younger. Although the movie and novel share important information about each other they do contain various differences that impact the story.
The Trojan War was a realistic battle in a realistic place, while the hunger games was a forced battle in a computerized arena. Odysseus had to face creatures and circumstances from the power of the gods/goddesses and sorcerers/sorceresses. Katniss was constantly bombarded with other competitors, and creatures made up and controlled by the game makers. The Hunger Games is characterized in the action/adventure genre.

They are both great movies to watch that keep the movie goer engaged in the storyline. Both science fiction movies create a dystopian scenario of what it would be like in a futuristic setting. Both societies have been segregated, “Divergent” into factions and “Hunger Games” into districts.
I recommend the hunger games to children of twelve and up due to the violence described in the book. For a story about 24 teenagers who are killing each other, there is very little gore. Teens are stabbed, shot with arrows, mauled by wild animals, burned, and their heads and necks smashed or broken. The injuries are very realistic including burn blistering, blood poisoning and gangrene but not graphic. There is an alcoholic named Haymitch and if parents do not want to talk about this with their young children they should not allow them to read this book.
The people who need a novel has different imagination and can feel something compare with the people watching the movie. At time, the reader can feel happy, sad, fun and challenge . For example The Hunger Games novels. Reading a novel and watching a movie have different but have a similarities which is interest reader to read a novel. Firstly, the similarities is the characters in novel and movie a normally same.
For Point of Contact, my concept was to evaluate The Hunger Games. What is the main idea or main argument of the text? I believe that the main argument of the text is that humans can be more violent than we actually think and that people can change political issues more than they think. Analysis: What does your subject try to achieve? The Hunger Games may be attempting to make literature more realistic by writing about things or events that could be a potential future.
