Her brain was just a mess from the meth and crash. She couldn't think at all but bloody tears kept falling and falling. Sad that her life was wasted on meth. Sad Trey was probably dead. Sad she abandoned her family and son.
As the story progresses we come to understand the reason behind all of this. Unfortunately her home life is not the best as she lost her brother and her mother a victim of attempting
By the time it is over, it will be the past, and she doesn’t want to be the only one left to tell their story” (Alvarez 10). Within that quote you can feel her emotions through her words about her sister’s death. She feels chills thinking about her future although it’s her past that is affecting her capability to move forward and her heartbreaks of having to be the only one to survive the tragedy and recite the story to others
She handled the scene better than I thought she would have, but I did not agree on the decision she made. She decided to “I’ll go to his class, I think, and tell his teacher he was sick this morning. That he’ll take the test tomorrow” The scene should have taken place where it did because if she made a different decision she would have caused more problems than when she said “you better run!” The story felt like it made the plot better because it made the story feel like it could actually happen in real life.
It was disheartening to see her own parents still living the same life but felt like they never made the effort to change their situation. Something Jeannette
It was very interesting how the girls connected with one another considered crazy or not at the end they were there for each other more than society was for the, because they were not considered normal. I like the connection Susanna and Lisa had because they seem to start to be good friends and later on Susanna notice that Lisa in a way was keeping her back and not trying to make her get out of the hospital but in other way stay there with her. When Lisa was out of the picture Susanna opened up more and was actually starting to feel better by talking to the
From finding forgiveness to admitting their wrongs. In the beginning they had their faults in which they made up for leaving them stronger as people. Starting out with a lot of pain and sorrow and leaving with a better outlook on their lives. The characters were important to this play to show that people can be wrong, and that people can mess up and find their way back. It shows that people can change for the better and admit when they do something wrong in the midst of their lives.
For instance when her older brother was in the hospital and he came and gave their mom his winter coat. He said “Give this to someone who will need it,” because he knew that he would be killed. What was especially heartbreaking was hearing about how all the children were being taken to the crematorium. Henia says “They were singing as they were getting on the train.” This by itself would be heart-wrenching but to also have to see a siblings do that would kill me.
It was like it happened in a blink of an eye. She also went through her emotions of grief and didn’t know how to handle it. In addition, Jimmy Cross confides in O’Brien that he has
Her absence created a hole in Jesse’s life that would never be repaired. She left her children with their father due
She lost her parents in the blink of an eye. I don’t think I could’ve handled losing my parents like she did. I don’t know how my mother handled losing her father when she was only four. I admire those who can lose someone and still stay strong even though they are
The most important thing though is that sense she was emotionally
When she ran away and left her children behind I was thinking why would a mother leave her child behind? How is leaving them helping them in any way? Why couldn’t she take them with her but then watching the
Nothing is hopeless; we must hope for everything.” Really changed my point of view on the story. She was very determined to find her dad and many doubted her, but with her hope she was able to succeed her
She seemed to show more emotion and expression than the others, but my perspective on my character wasn’t
