In the essay, “Class in the Classroom”, Joshua Halberstam presents various ways through which students can perform better at the college, in my perspective, the best rhetorical strategy in his writing is dealing with the boredom; it makes the guidance more effective as well as humor. For example, in case the student has to take the subject other than their program of study, they may feel bored, however, the student should be happy because they are contributing their time, and also they are gaining knowledge. The student has to be knowledgeable not only in one subject matter but also in another field, it’s the fact which Halberstam is trying to show positively among the readers. After describing universities like Duke, Stanford and other Ivie schools as elite private universities, Cathy Davidson in her essay “project Classroom Makeover” gives the implication that what is elite is what is considered excelling in surpassing the standards and having more power than others. This description, however, is only a snippet of how Davison views elite organizations and how those standards that qualify or nullify institutions are not as effective as they should be. Defining elite will yield two different definitions depending on the person who is defining it. Organizations, people, and even countries can be categorized as elites however, themselves may categorize others higher up as elites.
In Ho’s essay, the author was trying to convince student’s parents. In this essay, he used his son’s and his examples to show how the different between his son’s learning style and his learning style. He shows that an education system which is more flexible can help study’s process. In addition, Ho uses those examples to convince the parents should let their child to study in the education system which has more “freedom”. This can help students to be able to carry out their ideas freely.
Cutting the budget includes poor salaries for teachers, and termination of fine art and after school programs. Not giving the children opportunities to excel in their educational process. Budget Cuts Philomath Middle School and High School are making budget cuts. To help save money, the school board has proposed three ideas. The first idea is to cut all P.E. and Health programs. The second idea is to put soda machines and vending machines full of junk food in the school hallways. the last idea is to build a McDonald’s between the middle and high schools, having 10% of proceeds going to both schools.
As a result, new students were drawn only from those who from the lower class, such as workers or peasants. As most of them were uneducated before attending the school, they did not understand the teachers’ words and their options for success were limited, hence the educational system became substandard. Moreover, the quality of university education dropped not merely due to the lower student intake quality, but also due to the lack of qualified lecturers and professors, many of whom had been sent to the countryside for re-education (Meng 4). Students suffered, just as they still do today, from backwardness and failure as a result of under-qualified teachers educating them. As teachers without any credentials directly cause poor academic performance in students, they play a paramount role in the educational system.
Classroom management is the process by which teachers and schools create and maintain appropriate behavior of students in classroom settings. When classroom-management strategies are executed effectively, teachers minimize the behaviors that impede learning for both individual students and groups of students, while maximizing the behaviors that facilitate or enhance learning. Classroom management is really hard and there are many theorists that talk about it and each is different from the other where each theorist has his/her own ideas and thoughts. Some of them are mentioned below. In Redl and Wattenberg 's theories, they encompass group dynamics, self-control, the pleasure-pain principle, and understanding reality.
Change is inevitable in education as in all areas . Shifting perspectives within education and efforts of reform within it can be considered as educational change . The process of adapting or becoming used to the new ideas and meeting the needs of educational change require considerable efforts. This educational change can be a threat, opportunity, problem or neutral depending on our viewpoint.
Education has always been an important tool that everyone seeks to better their lives in the future. Many see positive effects of schooling, one of which, students become more educated than they previously were. Education has an environment where students are encouraged to be tutored, socially interactive, and express extracurricular activities. Though many schools do have these aspects, these are not the only things that make up schools. One of which that many forget that crucially affect students is the class environment.

Another important factor for the teachers to take into consideration is the parental support and home environment in the student success. Nowadays, teachers try to build a friendly relationship with the students’ parents because they know that sometimes when the student is not performing well is because there are problems at home.

Schools are the second place after home where students’ behavior and future educational success are shaped. At schools there are many elements or factors that can influence the teaching and learning process that may take place. Rasyid (2012) stated that there are four perennial truths that make the teaching and learning process possible to take place in the classroom. If one of these is not available, there will be no teaching and learning process, though the learning process itself may still take place, they are: (1) Teacher, (2) Students, (3) Material and (4) Context of time and place. All of them are related to one another.
