Classroom management is vital to having a structured classroom. Being able to complete different tasks like lesson plans is essential for any teacher. Also, having students who are very well behaved is crucial, but that does not happen all the time. There will be times where lessons are delayed, and students misbehave. This is where managing a classroom plays a huge part. I believe that classroom management is important because it helps the classroom stay organized. It is very important as a teacher to use different strategies to keep the class settled and focused. I think this is the most important part in having a managed classroom. With me being the teacher, I would make sure I come up with fun and exciting lessons to keep the students engaged. I will always make sure my students have something to do. For my students who misbehave, I will want to understand personally about why they are behaving that way. “I communicate with them in a caring way. I use every opportunity to help them develop self confidence” (Gionett). Haim Gionett was a great philologist who thought it was very important to communicate with a child in a caring way. I agree with this aspect because I want my students to know that I am there for them and that I want them to succeed in every way. Giving negative feedback is not a smart way to managing the student’s behavior.
