When you hear the word friendship, what kind of person do you think about? Most people may think about their own friends, or the traits of someone who is friendly to someone else, but there are cases where there are bad friendships. In the novella “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, there are good friendships and bad friendships shown throughout the story between Lennie Small, a big and very unintelligent or thick-headed person, and George Milton, a thin and conservative person who looks after Lennie. I believe George was a good friend to Lennie overall. The fact that George is constantly helping and protecting Lennie because he knows Lennie won’t survive on his own shows that he is a good friend.
