Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).

The staff at the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote an article titled “College Tuition: Degree in Debt” and claims, “Penn State charges more than $12,000 in tuition and fees. By comparison, the national average for four-year state schools is about $6,000” (“College Tuition”). Wake Technical Community College’s tuition and fees were $1,320.00 in the 2014-2015 school year, making the schools tuition far below the national average (“Wake Technical Community”). Because community colleges are so much more affordable when comparing to a university, it is thought to be that they do not have any student activities. This is not true to any extent.
Colonial Williamsburg is an enlightening place to admire and learn from, to stand in awe at and take our own stance about. It lets us look back and learn from the past, both our virtues and failing. There are many interactive buildings and exhibits that reinforce this. However, some buildings have superior importance to others. The Magazine deserves the Commemorative coin.

A lot of the bands I like to listen to come to Raleigh and Chapel Hill so I would be closer to both of those places. NC State also has an average class size of about 30 students, so this would be optimal for me. There are also some drawbacks to attending NC State. First off, I don’t like the vibe of the NC State campus nearly as much, it makes me feel like I’m in a busy city as opposed to a college.

In North Carolina there is huge deforestation problem. We are losing trees at a rapid pace and this must slow down or we will lose many of our natural ecosystems. I propose a solution to this problem, for every tree that is cut down you are legally required to plant a new tree. This would be put into place on a state level and would definitely help with the issue of the destruction of forests in North Carolina. Deforestation is the act of cutting down a large quantity of trees in a short period of time.
