If no one is willing to face the obstacles in life then they won't be able to enjoy it
Living in Conditions that Ultimately Made Them Stronger John Quincy Adams once stated, “patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.” In the world today, obstacles have an impact on the way one goes about their respective life. These obstacles range from emotions to illness to social class. How one interprets those obstacles decides whether that life goes down as a success or failure. As a society, we often admire those who take their obstacles and use them to create a better life.

The first example on how his father’s have affected Edgar and his life, is implied, “The two father figures in his life were never supportive, which may account for many of his struggles.” (About Edgar Allan Poe 2). Edgar had many struggles and this statement is a perfect inference for why he has had struggles. His first father had abandoned his family and his foster father did not want to support him when he needed the support the most becasue Edgar wanted to be a writer and he wanted him to be a businessman leading to financial struggles
As the Roman poet Horace once said, "adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant." In other words, he believed that challenges are beneficial because they bring out talents that would have stayed hidden otherwise. He thought that adversity would force a person to use their unknown talents out of desperation. Some argue that his theory is irrelevant and that a person 's skills will develop just as well without adversity if they have the capacity, but I believe that hardships will evoke and improve on their dormant talents.
In the short story, The Cat in the Hat, and the article, "Why Nurturing Creativity in Kids is so Important" they both show how creativity is used and how it can impact your life in a positive way. Creativity is important to always use because it can help you to have a more exciting

When this time or times come everyone would find a way to get through it, whether it is asking for help or doing it on their own. The Roman poet, Horace once said, “Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant”. Horace argues that difficult circumstances critically impact the development of one’s character. Although some may argue that character will reveal itself regardless if adversity is present, I agree with Horace’s perspective, adversity determines one's potential capabilities, strengthens personal values, and provides a feeling of self-worth. Sure, there are cases in which prosperous circumstances lead to internal development.

When difficulty occurs, I am more likely to form the judgment on myself. Always ask me a host of questions of “why”. The latest example of my life challenge is when my father last entered the hospital, he suffered a lot of the unbearable pain and I could not do anything for him. I could only stay with him near the bedside. Every night, I could barely sleep.
