Jonathan Kozol, educator and activist, wrote “Freemont High School” in 2005 which came from his book, The Shame of the Nation: The Restoration of Apartheid Schooling in America, to draw attention to the misfortunes of this inner city school in Los Angeles, California. The learning conditions the students have at Freemont are horrendous. Being one of the poorest schools from lack of funding, the health conditions the children have to attend school in are absurd. Compared to Freemont, Maryville High School is a very nice school to attend and has much better learning conditions. The two schools are different in dramatic ways, but neither school is a perfect one to attend.
What we are taught and where we come from, makes up the majority of who we are and helps influence the decisions we perform in everyday society. Proudly, I’m from Kings Mountain, a modest place, as a result of living here it has impacted me in a variety of phenomenal ways, from the way I communicate to the way I act. Due to the fact of living in Kings Mountain, I have been introduced to a variety of opportunities, for example, my current school, Cleveland Early College High School. I have been accepted into outstanding programs that, in turn, has helped me to achieve my objectives and future plans. Although, I attend this tremendous school I tend to envision about how it would have been similar to attending a traditional high school, I was originally suppose to represent Kings Mountain High, but I decided that I wished to pursue something outside of what I considered I could reach.
Racism will never end as long as people are living. Everyone has a right of free speech, and if the N word or being called spanish rather than Hispanic offends someone it will not stop people from saying whatever they please. The only thing that can, is bringing attention to the situation. Today in U.S history there was many questions regarding if Norwalk high is racist or not. Many people said yes, while other were blinded to this.
IDA Release Essay The reason I feel this is essential is in hope for me to be enrolled into the Travis Unified School District, and eventually attend school at Vanden High. I feel that it would be of great appreciation that I receive endorsement in my process of successfully transferring to Vanden because it would be completely beneficial for myself, my happiness, my education, and my future. My education is what’s most important however, and so is the path to my future, and Vanden does provide me with many options that can give me an advantage to help achieve my physical and self-related goals. Fairfield High would be my next option after my current school the Public Safety Academy but, it is not the right place for me to be.
Students scattered around the classroom, eyes wide open, chattered voices circle around the whole classroom talking about last night’s homework and how easy it was. The teacher walks in and everyone's head turns to the front, and suddenly the classroom goes silent, every student in the class knows to pull out their homework, as they correct the homework, little whispers surround the classroom with “yes,” and sudden joy because they know their grade just went up in that class. Students experience this kind of knowledge and joy because they know what to expect from their teachers, and they get rewarded by their knowledge because our school is great, due to our curriculum and circumstances we put on our students. Roscommon High School is a great

Where should students go after high school? Many students have enrolled in community colleges or universities after they graduated from high schools because they want to get more knowledge about the specific major which they are interested in such as marketing, chemistry, engineering, and so on. One of the biggest decision students will make is choosing which school they will go into. A community college and a university are two types of school in which both have great student life, lots of opportunities, and qualified professors. However, they differ in terms of degrees and programs offered, tuition and fees, and the size of the classroom.
The best way to go will be the dorms because there is more things to use as weapons and a place to sleep and eat. When the dorms don’t seem safe enough to stay at everyone should load up on the bus and get to a safer place like the mountains where barely anyone’s at. The mountains are safe because the mountains are out of town and not that many people go out into the mountains that
1. Introduction The recent rise of AI is not only a pivotal moment in history, but also one that has been foretold by many different forms of media. From science fiction novels to blockbuster films, the portrayal of AI has been an immensely popular subject in the imagination of the general public. Some have been positive, with visions of a utopian future full of technological advancements, while others depict dystopian scenarios with AI uncontrollable and humanity overpowered.
This is Hailey Bernot I am writing to discuss an important issue that I have noticed in Mentor High School. Thirty Three percent of teenagers report falling asleep in school and this is something that I have noticed daily at Mentor High. The school day at Mentor High School starts way too early and I think that many students and staff members would agree because it is affecting students learning and health. Schools across the world start at as early as 7 A.M. or as late at 9 A.M. Many early starting high schools have changed their starting times because students grades were dropping and they were not as prepared and focused.
As a senior in college there many plans you thought for your life. When I first came to college I wanted to be a dentist so I majored in biology but I decided that was not the right path for me.

Research supports school connectedness as one avenue for supporting student achievement (Blum & Libbey, 2004; Croninger & Lee, 2001; McNeely & Falci, 2004). The focus for this literature review is the impact of salient factors of student connectedness, such as school membership, peer attachment, teacher-student relationships, and academic engagement, to identify domains that are most important to students in supporting their belief and how male and female differ in those factors. School connectedness, or the student’s relationship to school, has been measured using diverse methods. Researchers have used constructs such as school membership,
While I heard several kids were afraid of spiders, snakes, and so on, I was terrified of “change” especially moving to a new school. It might have been acceptable if I had moved around less than twenty times. As a kid, I thought moving always brought me a depression and took away the “opportunities” in my life. A teacher didn’t see my potentials because I was a new student, so I always missed the “opportunities.” Therefore, I told myself that when I could make a decision, I would never choose to move around.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
In a world where things are always changing and getting better we get to the topic of Osage High School and its change. The school has turned a little outdated with not adding the proper improvements like other school have in the area. Now I am totally for the new renovations of the school to in hopes to get student more comfortable and proud of the school. Overall I feel as if the new additions will improve the school and the students in it.
