In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawerance stated That if Romeo and Juliet get married it might unite their families together. This quote acts for an instant on how the protagonist in the play had their choice controlled by other characters. In his play, William Shakespeare focuses on the tragic love story of two young teenagers whose impulsive decisions falter to a fatal destiny. Our Choices and intentions should be influenced by other people’s opinions because having a connection with someone can provide a deeper understanding of their perspective and allow for more informed decision-making. Also it may show how the person cares. This stands out with great importance because in Romeo and Juliet Act 1 Scene 3 Lines 61-64 the Nurse states “Peace, I have done. God marks thee to his grace! Thou wast the prettiest babe that I nursed.” An I might live to see thee married once, I have my wish”. This shows that the opinions of others should affect our choices and destiny because it shows how the nurse truly cares for Juliet and how she nursed Juliet all of her life. Shakespeare reveals the dangerous side of Romeo and Juliet's relationship in act 2 scene 2. By making them so in love with each other they will push everything aside from their lives to be with each other. One piece of evidence to support this claim is in Act 1 scene 2 lines 62-65 " Juliet warns Romeo that if any of her kinsmen find him. they'll kill him". Romeo said" He rather have his life ended by her kinsmen than go through life without her. Another piece of evidence that supports this claim is that at the beginning of act 2 scene 2, Romeo appears to be hiding in the bushes to look at Juliet from her balcony. This proves that their relationship is dangerous because if anyone were to see Romeo they would have killed him on the spot. In conclusion Romeo and Juliet relationship is dangerous because of the lengths they are willing to go to be with each other.This evidence proves the claim that people opinions should affect other choices and destinies because it shows that because Romeo wasnt in any influence from someone else he made impulsive decisions.
