Careful and Prayerful Understanding During my life, various opportunities have come my way. Leading others is certainly something I did not consider during my early years. The church I attended mostly while growing up, did have a board of trustees and other leadership positions, to include the pastor of course. At my current stage and being in leadership, I did not consider what Titus 1 (New American Standard Bible) teaches when it says, “For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed…” those were not my thoughts. Certainly, the consensus is part of the Church environment and it is in that local assembly as well. However, it should be part of what we do as Christians to promote cohesion among the believers and integrity. In prayer, all of us should be grateful to the gifts God has provided. I receive these gifts wholeheartedly as they are the evidence I have that I can do what He has called me to do.
