There are different ways to categorize personality traits, one of them is to use the meta-traits or the high-order factors of Big Five. According to DeYoung, Peterson and Higgins, stability and plasticity is the two high-orders of Big Five. Stability consist the personality traits of conscientiousness, agreeableness and emotional stability (neuroticism). It shows stable patterns in the aspects of emotion, social and motivation. Stability trait helps to maintain a stable organization so that a person is able to achieve long term goals. Skylar Driscoll demonstrates the meta-trait of stability. She has a self-control behavior as she always stay focused and on track so that she coukd achieve her goals. On the other hand, plasticity includes the …show more content…

The opinion is the overall opinion about themselves whether they are good or bad, worthy or unworthy or somewhere in between. This kind of opinion reflects on a person’s self-esteem. Research suggests that self-esteem influence life outcomes. A person with low self-esteem may lead him to be dissatisfied with his life and even be depressed; whereas, a person with high self-esteem will motivate themselves with self-confidence and thus promote success in life. There are also some myths regarding self-esteem. One of the myths is high self-esteem promote school or job success. In contrast, it supposed to be excellent performance in job or work promote high self-esteem. For example, in Samia Daud’s personal sketch, he mentioned that his competitive personality and high self-esteem leads him to be successful in his academic and co-curriculum. Id is the unconscious mind that wants the irrational and emotional desire or drive to be fulfilled. Moreover, superego contains the conscience and internalized rules, it is the part of mind that builds the value of moral within one self. Ego refers to the conscious and rational part of the mind that balance between the competing thoughts of the id and superego. Dream Weaver was driven by her id as she mentioned that she had an unconscious drive that lead her to make an unconscious decision to be a rebellious kid after her parents’ divorce.
