The Outsider Dally Character Analysis

I chose to analyze Dallas Winston from S.E Hinton’s The Outsiders mainly because the change of this character was quite unexpected for me. Dally is a dynamic character that changes as the time flows in the story. Dally was described as a handsome guy with white-blonde hair, icy-blue eyes, elfish face, and ears like a lynx. He preferred to stay with his gang members rather than with his own family because his parents and Dally did not care about each other. He cares a lot about his gang members, as if they were his real family. In the book, Dally was physically abused, but he doesn’t show off that he had those kind of experience. In the beginning of the story, Dally seemed like strong and tuff guy, but when Johnny dies, he just gave up everything
