In the book The Outsiders by the author S.E. Hilton, it’s hard to live in such a place. The setting of The Outsiders takes place in Oklahoma in the 1960’s. “Greasers,¨ a group of friends of Ponyboy, Johnny and the others are having a tough time in the a town in Oklahoma. The settings is a major part of changing the characters, to also affect the story. It’s hard being a “Greaser” in Oklahoma in the 1960’s.“You really killed him, huh, Johnny?” (p. 57) Otherwise saying that Johnny was in the setting to where we killed someone. So if he was not there, then Johnny would of not have killed someone. “Socials, the jet set, the West-Side rich kids.
