Partnership is important in all aspects of life. Christianity was never designed to be always individualistic. While people have their own faith in God and beliefs within the Christianity community, it is impossible to live out a Christ-led journey without the corporal aspect of the Christian journey. As the English poet John Donne stated, “no man is an island” means that no one can live life without people. Our main existence is through the kindness and love of other people, despite God not being physically with us. God’s establishment in corporal practice with the faith community started in the Garden when God created Eve for Adam to become one flesh. In addition, it took the faith and collaboration of God’s people to come together to accomplish what God desires for the “already, not yet” Kingdom.
