A starved polar bear found dead in Svalbard as "little more than skin and bones" perished due to a lack of sea ice on which to hunt seals, according to a renowned polar bear expert. Climate change has reduced sea ice in the Arctic to record lows in the last year and Dr Ian Stirling, who has studied the bears for almost 40 years and examined the animal, said the lack of ice forced the bear into ranging far and wide in an ultimately unsuccessful search for food.” (Carrington, 2013).
Climate Change is becoming so serious that it is either killing animals or causing severe weather that is unpredictable and resulting in the loss of everything for many around the world. In the Rolling Stone article The Point of No Return: Climate Change Nightmares

WeatherSpark also included that London’s, “... warm season lasts from June 5 to September 16 with an average daily high temperature above 67°F. The hottest day of the year is July 29, with an average high of 72°F and low of 55°F.” Climate change is becoming so bad that the rising temperatures in heat waves are becoming unbearable for humans to live in. These heat waves could possibly cause sickness or even worse, death. In addition, Mark Hertsgaard from The Nation goes on to say, “The momentum of Earth’s climate system means that at least 10 feet of eventual sea-level rise are already locked in.” This goes to show that the water levels will start to grow over time. This is bad because certain animals such as Polar Bears need a certain sea level in order to survive, but the weather is becoming so warm that it's interfering that from …show more content…
Author Dean Burnett from The Guardian goes on to say, “Take changes in sea level. They keep banging on about how the warming of the atmosphere causes rising sea levels, but if that was happening we’d have seen it by now.” Basically his argument is that Climate change isn't real due to there not being any real proof of it happening so far just claims. However, Kennedy Warne from National Geograpic.com counters that claim by saying, “The two major causes of global sea-level rise are thermal expansion caused by the warming of the oceans (since water expands as it warms) and the loss of land-based ice (such as glaciers and polar ice caps) due to increased melting. Records and research show that sea level has been steadily rising at a rate of.” This evidence goes on to prove how Dean Burnett’s claim is wrong only because he actually shows how the Rising sea levels is actually a real thing that happening over time in the
