Abortion is the most controversial topic, which opponents and supporters are yet to settle or reach a consensus. Abortion touches on the matter of life and death, and this contributes to the failure of grounds between two polar factors. Considering that, abortion has equal supporters for and against it, there is a need to approach the matter holistically and with the interests of the unborn. The status of the fetus is the main reference pointed by defenders of abortion and opponents of abortion. Defenders of abortion believe that a fertilized egg or the fetus does not qualify to be a human being. On the other hand, opponents of abortion feel that, from the moment the egg is fertilized by the sperm, the fetus is a human being. In the real sense, people procure abortions because the preborn baby is alive, and the abortion procurers find the life of the unborn unwanted. Another important consideration is the argument that a preborn baby is only “possible” life. When discussing life and possibility, in the context of abortion, every life including the preborn baby, has a high possibility of being killed. Notably, abortion results in physical and biological death. Then, if a preborn baby represents a possible life, why is abortion necessary to bring about the actual death of the baby? Facts prove that preborn babies are alive. Preborn babies have hearts, blood, and veins; hence, all these systems are actual, so is the unborn baby. Prior to abortion, the preborn baby is alive in biological terms. After an abortion, the baby becomes biologically dead, which is not a possibility rather a reality. Therefore, abortion destroys life, and all the potential possessed by life (Crome
