Adoption
There are many topics related to adoption on whether parents are doing the right thing for them and their families and when searching for what the “correct” method is, individuals are often mislead by the media and what is brought up by “fake news.” These results end up not being informative and giving parents and future parents false hope. In the decision to determining a topic that is and has impacted many families, I chose to discuss adoption. Adoption is a legal process that takes place when an individual or individuals decide to become a non-biological parent to a child or children who do not belong to them and they then decide to raise them as their own blood child. This topic is very close to me, because I was adopted by the only father I have ever known sixteen years ago. The day of being adopted is a constant reminder that he made the decision to make me his child by law. This act shows that he was the one who came in and stepped up to the plate to raise me like I was his own and it has forever changed my life for the better. Families are created from all walks of life and with the help of adoption it brings outcomes that can change and have a powerful impact on the future lives of children.
