At the beginning of 2017, Trump and his administration introduced a plan to ban Muslim countries for national security. The travel ban was to stop immigrants, refugees, and families from entering the united states. Besides, only close families and business relationships are allowed to enter the US. However, thousands of protesters came out to express their discomfort of not welcoming immigrants from Muslim countries because it showed discrimination towards them. Protests have initiated on social media, rallies, and demonstration in resistance to President Donald Trump. A majority of groups gathered around the white house to protest. Trump administration focused on closing doors to Middle East countries. For example, travelers who are part of Muslim nationality “Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen,” are not authorized to enter the US... or be issued an immigrant or non-immigrant visa.”(British Broadcasting Corporation) It is prejudice decision to selectively ban countries based on their nationality. Ignorance towards certain beliefs under this controversial feud among the public. Similarity, people are motivated to fight for their rights and freedom since the government is enforcing laws to prevent Muslim countries to enter united state and people voiced their opinion, “ we need to be able to keep the energy high and voice our disapproval of whatever version of the Muslim ban this administration comes up with.” (Perry Stein) Thus, a positive outcome is shown through a peaceful protest which a number of people demonstrated at this event.
