Medical science has been intervening lately on a person’s natural process or an animal’s genes. There are a lot of procedures or enhancements for humans to use to make themselves look better or make their body better. Biogenetics engineering has also been changing animal’s genes to help humans. Biogenetics engineering is the modifications of the characteristics of an organism by manipulating its genetic material. New medical groups have been altering animal’s genes to combat illnesses and provide medicine for people, yet it has big risks. The risks could be detrimental. Medical Science advancements should not intervene in the natural state of human beings or animals.

A recent article about cosmetic surgery states, “One recent study found that liposuction may slim one problem area while creating another. Women who suction fat from their thighs and lower abdomen ultimately destroy those fat cells. When they eventually put weight back on, it distributes unevenly—often to less flattering areas like the upper abdomen, back, and arms (Goudreau).” Cosmetic surgery might not be effective in changing someone’s body to what a person wants it to be, so it’s better just to steer clear from this surgery. There are also some health risks involved in this surgery. According to the same article, it says, “The stress of surgery, lack of sleep and recuperation that often includes pain, fatigue, and swelling causes most to experience some degree of depression.” Not only does cosmetic surgery show false results than what they say, it can also lead to depression, lack of sleep and pain. Instead of losing weight by surgery, it is better to lose weight naturally, which is exercising, where you won’t experience any symptoms, and it is very healthy for your body and …show more content…

In a magazine, it states, “Genetic engineering began to improve the lives of millions. Diabetics, for example, could count on steady supplies of genetically engineered insulin, made in the lab by placing human insulin genes into bacteria and then growing it in giant vats(“How the DNA Revolution is CHanging Us”).” Genetic engineering may have these benefits,, but however, there is also a big risk involved in using the technology it has. In the same article, it says, “From the start, however, scientists also realized that if they could transfer DNA between species, they might inadvertently shift viruses and other pathogens too. That could cause unanticipated diseases, for which there would be no natural protection, treatment, or cure(“How the DNA Revolution is Changing Us”).” In conclusion, medical science should not alter people’s genetics since we only scratched the surface in this technology. Humans should make themselves better naturally, instead of taking a surgery or an enhancement that could have risks and may not work. The achievement will also mean less when you take a shortcut to achieve something. Biogenetics engineering advancements are still opaque, where it could have some benefits, but there are also big risks. There has been risks that we knew from doing these enhancements or changing an
