There is a large amount of information that is censored in America, and the citizens don’t usually realize what details are being withheld from their knowledge. Censorship is the act of prohibiting things that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. Censorship is carried out mostly by the government but also by private companies, influencing and usually putting a bias spin on the information being given. When it comes to censorship, there are many pros and cons. There are many positive impacts that come from censorship, and it is sometimes used to protect people or important information that is meant to be kept secret.
Censorship is necessary to an extent. It protects society from ideas and images that are deemed inappropriate for the public, but it also hinders them from experiencing another point of view. A certain amount of censorship is needed when raising children, because exposing them to mature themes too early is harmful to their growth and development. This belief is what prompts parents to call for the banning of certain books in schools. They feel a certain theme in the book is inappropriate and they do not want their children exposed to it.
Children just like us have a mind of their own and should be able to make their own decisions by themselves to either pick up the book or to leave it alone. Censorship does not exist in public places such as stores even though children enter stores everyday these kids have learned the decency of what they should or should not do they learned what they want and what they do not want what they like and what they do not like that should be a reason that children should be able to make censorship their choice.

In our world, the government often tries to censor what information we can receive and send. For our local government, they do the same things as well by censoring things that might jeopardize national security or something else.
I think it is necessary to have to have censorship is because so it can protect kids from any negative things and harmful actions. Censorship may not be the most important issue out there but it is still possibly an issue that still has to be dealt with. It's definitely necessary to talk about this issue because parents want keep there child safe from on the explicit things in the world. Some kids might what a scary movie and get nightmares, kids might listen to a song and watch the music video and try to copy what they do in the video, or kids might read an adult book or a book for older more mature kids and possibly try to copy what the people are doing in the book. There are ways you can protect your child those problems but you can’t protect them from

This group wants to protect people from ¨offensive actions¨ including racist, sexist, or islamophobic language. On the other side we have the people who want free speech and people of any ideology to express their ideas.
