Pablo Escobar knew what he was doing when he sold his drugs, and he made sure they were the best on the market. His cocaine was so good that not only did it make its debut throughout Colombia, but made its way to America as well, where the demand rose even more than before.

According to a published article Jeremy McDermott, The FARC tax cocaine growers fifty perecent per kilo, buyers two hundred dollars per kilo, tax production a hundred dollars per kilo, and a flight tax that is also a hundred dollars per kilo.

The notorious bosses of the drug trafficking at the time were the infamous Pablo Escobar, Carlos Lehder, and Griselda Blanco. The two main smuggled drugs were cocaine and marijuana. They were smuggled by plane, boat, and human mules. To hide the abundant profits they’d money launder, hide money in safe, and even went to the extent of having their money built into house walls just to avoid the law.
