Most families have a double standard rule for their children. This rule should be practiced in every family. Without it the girls in the family may feel as if they would have the same job opportunities without any discrimination based on sex. The daughter of the family will have more pressure from her parents about school than anything else. The son will be pushed more towards working and trades then the traditional education route. Boys most of the time have more freedom and chances to make their own decisions without any repercussions. Girls on the other hand will be constantly scalded until they choose the choice that will make their parents proud. Most parents have different standards and ambitions for their daughter than their sons.

Work ethic is one of the major differences in standards. The daughter is not going to be pressed into getting a job and making her own money. Instead, the daughter will have opportunities to help mom clean up and cook in order to make her own funds. The boys in the family will be shoved into the work force by their parents. Boys have more job opportunities than girls do. The son can do a lot of …show more content…

Daughters will have to good in school or the parents would be disappointed. The parents would start while the daughter is young and in her molding years. The parents would teach her not to participate in any unrighteous activities. The daughter would be taught that school is very important to success, so they must go to college to get a degree. They will enforce the rule so heavy that the daughter would think that this is the morally right thing to do. The son in the family would not be heavily forced into continuing his education. They would show him other ways to become successful through the work force. The fathers will introduce their sons to various outside jobs that could provide well enough money to establish a good income for his future
