The War on Terror was effective. It improved security and made U.S. citizens safer against terrorism around the world. President George Bush worked to counter terrorist threats, and stop threats within the U.S. He implemented a foreign policy against terrorism around the world, improving homeland security. In Do Not Take the War on Terror’s Big Success for Granted, they show the success that the U.S. had.
ISIS is a clan formed in Iraq and they despise our country and the muslims located in it. ISIS is also responsible for a lot of bombings we hear about today. ISIS was responsible for a major terrorist attack on Paris a few months ago. Paris was bombed in a hotel and many people killed or severely injured during the terrorist attacks performed by ISIS.
Wherever Isis goes they kill and are a problem. Isis established in 2004 by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. He was close to Osama bin Laden, but he wasn't a part of Al Qaeda. Isis is a violent terrorist group who are determined to kill all Muslims that do not accept their brand of Islam.
The Islamic state, or ISIS is a militia movement with conquered territory in western Iraq and east Syria. Seizing multiple territories in the Iraq’s heartland and having amounts of success has drawn in more foreign recruits to them, raising concern in the west. Moreover, this has led the United States to send in the air campaigns to try and roll back the Islamic state advancements. Now, as of November fifteenth, 2015, ISIS has taken upon itself to drop multiple bombs in Paris, France and both France and the United States want to retaliate back.
Have you ever had the fear that you might get blown up by a roadside bomb or that someone walking down the street might have a bomb strapped to there chest? Well if us as americans don't do everything we can to destroy ISIS then they might just bring the fight to our homeland. The Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a very dangerous and very capable terrorist group. They are considers the most dangerous group in the world today. They killed over 6,000 people last year and are not slowing down.
The terror group ISIS has for the last years made big problems for the western countries. Their beliefs and “way of life” is reversed from the western mainstream, and this has resulted in a dangerously hot tension between the east and the west. What the best solution is to this problem we don’t know, but there are a lot of different opinions on how we should approach this problem. From the packet we received I agree with article nr. two of Andrew J. Bacevich.
During World War II, the world saw Hitler torture and kill millions upon millions of Jews, during this time Hitler has gained land and grew stronger. Without the United States helping to fight Hitler would have probably be successful in committing genocide upon all of the Jews and take over most of Europe. currently there is a new group of extremist killing of people who do not share the same beliefs, this extremist group is called ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. ISIS was led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was killed currently. Just like Hitler invaded cities and towns of innocent people, dragging them out of their houses and mercilessly executing them, ISIS has done the same thing.
ISIS has caused havoc in other places outside of the Middle East too. They have caused terror in Europe by detonating bombings in France and other European countries. ISIS needs to be wiped out for good in order to ensure the middle East can be safe again. Barack Obama pulled our troops out of Iraq. Since then, ISIS has absolutely taken over the Middle East, this occurred on the date of December
America’s rivals and enemies have enjoyed a very good 10 days. One clear beneficiary has been ISIS, which has spent years trying to persuade Muslims that the United States is at war with Islam. ISIS wants to eliminate the world’s “gray zone,” the places where Muslims, Christians, Hindus and Jews live in harmony. No wonder that ISIS-affiliated social media gleefully posted President Trump’s executive order this weekend, as Rukmini Callimachi of The Times reported.
But what exactly makes ISIS different from all the other terrorist groups in the Middle East? ISIS was created back in 2004, when the organization known as “AL-Qaeda” formed. Abu Musab al Zarqawi,
ISIS made their first major global appearance by using the Syrian Civil War to swoop in and capture vulnerable Syrian territory. To date, they control one third of Syria and substantial portions of Iraq. “International investigators said on Friday that in order for the Islamic State to remain financially viable it would have to further expand territory it controls in Iraq and Syria and take over more resources” (Hosenball 1). Because of this, it is likely that ISIS will only continue to grow and obtain more territory, especially if the rest of the world does not work together in attempt to more aggressively combat ISIS. It can be shown that these allied nations are not doing enough by this report which states, “ISIS has almost doubled the land it controls in Syria since the US-led coalition began airstrikes against the extremist group in the summer” (Mailonlinen 1).
A man is summoned to a tribunal. It does not sound like much, but he was set up and even has proof of his innocence. The leader of the tribunal ignores the man’s alibi and the man is led off to the middle of the town and was decapitated in front of the whole town, but more specifically, his family, who were forced to watch. It is a tragic anecdote that describes the countless stories of the trials fellow humans suffer through across the globe under ISIS in Iraq and Syria. ISIS is a heinous organization that deserves to be eliminated and bombed out of existence by America’s war machine and superiority.
The researchers have concluded that ISIS is a problem that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. This militant group needs to be dealt in a serious and well-planned tactics. Knowing that ISIS has the ability to influence and to attract individuals to join their group is something that everyone should be afraid of. If this group cannot be eliminated as soon as possible, everyone will suddenly be living in a world that is being run by militant groups. Everyone should also be afraid since this group is not afraid of killing other people.
A terrorist group called ISIS(Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) from Iraq and Syria, led by an Iraqi militant that goes by the name of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have begun targeting Muslims, Christians, Yazidis and Sunnis, Shia’ Muslims, and female unbelievers, they consider slaves (Ferran). This group mainly consists of the Syrians or Iraqians, and now have many coming after them, U.S, United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. Minorities are now believed to be in control of this group. They have taken over part of Iraq and Syria, including the larger main cities.
The terrorist organization ISIS has become known for taking hostages with first world countries nationalities and then demanding ransom money from these countries in exchange for the captives’ lives. The latest example of this involves two hostages from Japan and a demand of $200 million to be paid for their release. Not paying is certain to lead to the Japanese prisoners’ deaths, but paying has a host of implications as well. What ought to be done? Should the Japanese government pay the $200 million for their citizen’s lives or should they ignore the request and leave the hostages to be killed by ISIS?
