Alters, Sandra book was extremely useful in writing my paper. She identifies what the right to bear arms actually means and provides clarity on laws, regulations and ordinances for firearms. The last two chapters of her book discuss the pros and cons to whether or not there should be stricter gun control laws. I have found her point of view to be in line with mine but not to an extent that there is bias.

Blocher and Miller's academic journal goes into detail on the areas with few gun control laws and how the gun neutral civil and criminal rules are important but go unnoticed basis for the legal regulation of guns. (Blocher and Miller) They discuss how different rules and regulations make it difficult for the Second Amendment to remain significant. They also address gun-neutral laws and whether the Second Amendment is applicable to events like assault or disturbing the peace. I found their stance interesting and useful for my paper. This

They studied multiple areas with different demographics and gun laws. They found that there was no real difference in the statistical evaluation of whether or not gun control contributed to improving those areas, rather some areas saw an increase in deaths by firearms during their study. I found this source to be very useful. It goes right in line with my argument and I feel that based off of the statistical data provides, my argument will be stronger.
