The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms and it was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights. Our founder fathers were familiar with English Law that dated back to twelfth century, which restricted where and when arms could be borne. Adopted in 1328, declared that no man great or small will be permitted to come before the king with any force or arms. Today citizens are divided in regards to guns and gun ownership. There are many issues about gun control and who has the right to own guns. There is a saying that guns do not kill people, but stupid people kill with guns. A waiting period was put in place to try and stop guns from falling into the wrong hands or to be purchased when someone is in the heat of the moment to commit a violent crime. Gun control has bands so felons and mentally ill people cannot obtain fire arms. They do not fall under the Second Amendment. Gun control has a safe-storage regulation were gun owners were responsible for any injuries that happened because their gun was not secure. Gun control is put in place for the safety of society. If there was no gun control than anyone could have guns and that means there could be more violent acts against society.
