Robert A. Heinlein, a famous American science-fiction writer, said that “there are no dangerous weapons. There are only dangerous men.” which means guns don't kill people, but people do. The debates about gun control laws in the United States of America have never stopped. The Second Amendment defines people have their rights to keep and bear arms. Also, it is indisputable that the United States have had a long history of using guns. Guns are widely used for hunting and self-defense in the United States. Gun history is a part of nation’s heritage. Gun control laws are completely useless which should be reduced, because guns are used for self-defense, the laws cannot help ordinary citizens out of danger. Gun proponents consider a way to protect ordinary citizens. In the other hand, gun control laws seem perfect, but they cannot stop criminals from obtaining guns illegally. In fact, the main reason of causing those incidents is people’s morals and values. If guns are illegal to use, criminals would simply switch other methods to kill people. In addition, six people were injured while five people were killed in Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting. The suspect in this shooting has a serious mental problem. Recently, “many mass shootings have been carried out by people who were recognized by those around them as being deeply disturbed, yet were able to own guns legally” (Pérez-Peña, 2015). Hence, gun control laws cannot prevent violent crime efficiently. The government are not able to enforce gun control laws because the laws cannot reduce
