Guns has been responsible for over 4,000 death just within two months of 2018. There should be stricter laws on buying guns. People who own guns should take more responsibility in keeping them safe and lock up. I think there should be stricter rules on buying guns and owning guns to keep the public safe. There are arguments that disagree with gun violence and that banning firearms will not solve anything. In the Washington Post article, Leah Libresco stated that, “Two-thirds of gun deaths in the United States every year are suicides”. The number of people who are killed by shooting is less than the number of people who dies in suicide. Second, Daniel Brezenoff, author of the article, Ten Arguments Against Gun Control — And Facts That Prove Them Wrong, explain that banning guns will not stop the killing for good. “If we abolish firearm, they’ll find another way to kill using different weapons” (Brezenoff). Lastly, Daniel Brezenoff stated that, “confiscating everyone’s guns would be a violation of the Second Amendment”.
