The role of guns and personal possession of firearms in the American society has long been debated. Many believe that firearms assume a major role in ensuring the practice of the second amendment right. Yet, regardless, regulating gun purchase does not go against a man's right, but rather implements a sense of security in a society. As a result, gun control will prevent violence inflicted as a factor of weapon ownership. As a result, weapons become an integral factor in unplanned deaths and gun control will only significantly influence a diminishing rate in murder and crime. Firearms present a threat to society and communities can manage as equally effectively without the numerous arms people bear (Background on Gun Control).

Therefore, people may obtain guns with no further background checks. Moreover, as a result, criminals will still present us with a conflict of violence. Yet, with control over the buying and selling of weapons crime rates and murder rates will decrease dramatically (Background on Gun Control). In addition, the right to bear arms in the case of defending and protecting a person’s freedom crosses the line once another life is at hand. An argument that is constantly brought up is the mere essence that guns don’t kill people, people do, yet with such easy access the task criminals face of doing so is almost effortless.
