Marijuana is an addictive drug made from a dried cannabis sativa plant. Over 10 million people use marijuana every year on a regular bases. Also, over 94 million people have admitted to doing marijuana in the past in the just United States. I believe that only medical marijuana should be legalized and not so much recreational marijuana. Marijuana is the single most commonly used drug among adolescents. American attitudes towards marijuana legalization have varied greatly from the time it was criminalizes in the 1930’s. Marijuana can be good and bad for you. The bad part is that marijuanas effects include impaired coordination, shortened attention span, decreased alertness, and impaired memory and learning. Using marijuana long term can lead to physical and psychological marijuana addiction. But, the good side to marijuana is that it reduces pain, controls muscle spasms, decreases anxiety, and improves lung health. It is legalized in 28 different states and Washington DC. It is also a good thing for a number of reasons. As it slows and stops cancer cells from spreading, prevents Alzheimer's, treats glaucoma, relives arthritis, controls seizures, soothes tremors (for those who will have Parkinson's disease), and also helps Crohn's disease. Plus, some people with really severe pain can smoke marijuana so the pain goes away as it relieves pain. As you can tell medical marijuana is a good thing for a people and the community. There's only a couple bad parts to legalizing
