In twenty first century the inclusion of plants in medical treatment has been seen as evolution in medicine. These plants are used in some medicines for the patients who are having complicated medical situations. The use of marijuana is illegal in many countries of the world, but it is also practiced by doctors in some special cases where they are suggesting their patients to use cannabis as medicine. The issue arises when it comes to give a legal permission to own marijuana medically, because it considered as a dangerous drug. This essay will discuss the benefits of medical marijuana and legalisation in the aspect of patient’s health care. It will also describe the drawbacks of medical cannabis and its legalisation is a concern for drug regulating authorities because of drug abuse and its long term use side effects.

Firstly, legalising medical marijuana has increased the number of registered patients and the dispensaries significantly and it has started concerned among drug controlling authorities, because it can make influence on teenage use of marijuana, a survey conducted by University of Michigan showed that in 2001 use of marijuana in twelfth grade was highest in thirty years. Another factor is that higher number of dispensaries wold be hard to control for example, in some areas these dispensaries have increased as much as McDonald’s and Starbucks.
