The legalization of marijuana is an issue that causes much controversy due to different opinions and even more when all opinions should be heard and considered. Studies have been conducted showing the benefits that can be gained by establishing a controlled drug legalization of marijuana. According to some factors it can be demonstrated that the legalization of marijuana in countries of Latin America has some advantages and can add in a positive way in reducing crime, improve health problems and help the economy.
The plant of Cannabis or marijuana has hundreds of medical and health applications. It is used for treatment of rare diseases such as cancer, glaucoma and neurological disorders, which have no treatment and if they do, they are ineffective in addition to causing secondary effects.
