Since African Americans have started to raise awareness of racial profiling and police brutality, there have been some positive outcomes along with the negative. For instance, they have been reminded that not every person of another race is racist against them. Getting help from individuals that are apart of a more dominant race is very beneficial. Also, receiving help from those of their own race plays a huge role. Although there are not many compared to other races, African American lawyers, doctors, and police do exist. This creates a sense of protection to the African Americans knowing that they can rely on their own kind to help them in a time of trouble. That, moving away from the ghettos in search of better living will only target them more. That, the reproduction and raising of more African Americans will only increase their chance of being targeted. That, the more dominant races will do whatever it takes to punish and restrict the black culture. Whenever African Americans gain the courage to speak up or try to do something about the injustice, they will be faced with punitive measures. These actions will only upset the dominant races and led to more criminal injustice in the penal system. Since African Americans are so strongly stereotyped, the way they are viewed from other races is not subject to change anytime soon. Following this, the way the police treat and disrespect them will only continue to get worse. Racism is real, but should not be in a workplace where one is hired to protect the lives of others on a daily
