For four years now, students in high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools have been restricted from the internet or the school's administrators are blocking certain web sites. Today school web filters are ruining the internet. Now all students agree that they should get rid of school web filters. Schools should get rid of web filters.

This private company that offers their services to block certain websites and sells them to the schools and they control it. This needs to stop because this is ruining the internet. First it ruins our research. For example if a teacher assigns a research about drugs, what kind are there, how do they affect the human body and the filters restrict almost everything about drugs and so we cannot do the project. Now if we study more about the human body they even block that aswell. Sometimes it needs an administrator login to make it alright to enter the website. I think if they do not get rid of web filters, the least thing they can do to make web filters better is to lower the restriction. …show more content…

These services allow schools to control the school internet. Once they have a hold of them I think the administrator blocks way to many sites and there mistakes are they do not know what they’re blocking. They have like a block list where many students visit to. They restrict any content that has to do with buying, inappropriate things, drugs, guns, games, and even educational websites. I think they should stop restricting so many things because it makes school boring, For teenagers they should be having fun and still learning. I think the administrators does not trust us. I think they should trust us with the internet because we students already know what is not; it’s common sense. I think all students feel upset because not only can we not learn, but we cannot also have fun. I want the administrator to lower
