Clark county school district I believe has the worst teachers. Nevada education is ranked 49th out of 50. Teachers just love to abuse the power of being a teacher. They know the district will probably not fire them due to lack of teachers, some even take advantage of these students, and the bad teachers take advantage of the good teachers. These are all the reasons teachers in Clark County School District are the worst.
These results should not be surprising. When the goal is to reduce property taxes, there is a good chance politicians will decrease taxes and school funding overall as adding offsetting taxes would seem at cross-purposes with the reduction in property taxes. However, when the goal is to increase equality and help all students succeed, politicians will seek out additional funds to support schools currently near the bottom. At the least, they won’t reduce overall funding in support of equality. Moreover, almost 25 years after reform, Michigan schools are still funded unequally (and won’t be equal for another 20 years at the current rate).
In some schools spending per student exceeds $10000 per year but the graduation rate is below 50 percent for example in Detroit. Detroit spends about 11100 per year on each student but only 25 percent of their student’s graduate high school. Policymakers should focus on reforming policies and resource allocations to improve student achievement. According to the National Center for Education Statistics 52 percent of public Education expenditures are spent on instruct and this percentage keeps decreasing overtime. Children who benefit from the school choice program usually have higher test scores than their peers.

This essay will be letting the school board here the student’s side of the argument that has been on going since I can remember. This data along with data from other cities such as Chicago where only 0.1% of teachers between 2005 and 2008 were dismissed for performance-related circumstances, proves that in the united stated the public school system is broken and in need of help as stated in “Waiting for
One option, Policy A, would be to create a 0.25% increase in the state income tax for Oklahomans so public schools would receive pay raises to bring them to a similar level of surrounding states. This would keep teachers from leaving for surrounding states because of pay. They would be able to attract more qualified individuals into teaching because they will receive a better salary than they would have otherwise. This policy would be a taxation policy because it is increasing taxes to increase the pay of teachers in public schools.

There is a dire need to reform public schools, test scores are often mediocre, achievement gap is atrocious, and this is only exacerbated by race. There are a couple of potential solutions already in place, these two being the No Child Left Behind Act and the topic of this memo, charter schools. Charter schools are still public schools, but they do depart from traditional public schools in many regards for example, they differ in that they are often more specified in curriculum or final goal than a traditional school. Beyond the basic understanding of what a charter school is, the more important issue to face is how this not only how this is will theoretically help but also how it has practically worked over time. All though little evidence
Many aspects of public education are problematic. For example, the usefulness in grading systems (other than IB schools) are questionable. It cages up creativity and makes the students unmotivated. Also many times the grading system is just wrong. When students write something and give it to the teacher to grade sometimes they can get a horrible grade.
