As Germany was trying to take over Europe, the Japanese was trying to to take over the Pacific. The Japanese thought the United States was a threat, so they bombed Pearl Harbor. The United States of America was furious so the United States started to militarize their armies. They had over 14,000,000 soldiers ready for battle. This bombing, and World War Two in general
World War II was one of the biggest conflicts in the history of the world. It was a conflict between the Allies — Britain, American, and France — and the Axis Powers — Germany, Italy, and Japan. America entered the war in 1941 when the Japanese surprise attack our naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. At the start of the conflict, the 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, was our Chief in Command that had just let the nation through one of its most trying times, the Great Depression. In 1942, Roosevelt began a top secret project led by Robert J. Oppenheimer.
Imagine you were fighting in WW2. Would you want to be there? The war began with Nazi Germany’s attack. The US did not get involved until the Japanese bombed by Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It was the United States VS Germany in the war.
There are two different wars that both took place during the 1940s. The wars are different because one was the battle between the Americans and the British, and the other was the Japanese giving a surprise attack in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Back then, there were many reasons why our country was involved in fighting their lives in those wars or any other war; one reason could be that the people in Japan were being treated like outcasts. Other reasons might be that there were unfair laws, nobody had rights to do whatever they wanted, or the main reason could be that they did not get along very well and they did not trust each other. They might have thought that they couldn 't work together to form a better economy for the future of our world or for their family and they used to give up really easily and acted like quitters.
The US entered the war because the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. The world was in the period of time called the Great depression, until the war created new jobs and the need for military supplies. But as the men left to fight in the war, the new jobs that were created needed to be filled again. Women stepped up and helped to fill the jobs. Rations reached every aspect of a family's life, from food, shoes, gas and even cooking fats.
In September of 1939, World War II had officially begun. Before the war started, Germany, lead by Adolf Hitler had begun to take over many other countries around Europe including Austria and Czechoslovakia while also allying themselves with other countries such as Russia and Japan(Sharpe 6). When Germany sought after Poland, Britain gave them un ultimatum to pull out of the country and when they did not do so Britain was at war. In December the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor which is when the United States declared war against the Japanese. Due to our close relations with the U.S at this time, it also created a huge hatred for the Japanese in Canada(Sharpe 8).
WWll started on 10/1/1939. The main enemies were the Germans and the Japanese. The Germans wanted all the Jews to die and to also wanted to expand their country and the Japanese wanted to expand their country as well. On December 7th, 1941, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor caused Japanese Americans to face discrimination.
World War II was the second global war in the 1900s. At the start of the war, America was neutral. The attack on Pearl Harbor happened during World War II. As a result of the bombing of Pearl Harbor forced America to enter World War II. Pearl Harbor is a U.S. naval base near Honolulu,
That attack was the defining reason for the people of the United States of America to fully support, and join World War II on the side of the Allies. World War II started in the year 1939, when German troops invaded Poland. In the first two years of the war, the United States remained neutral, in the fact that the U.S. did not have troops on the ground fighting. On the other hand the U.S. was sending food and weapons to Britain to help support the war. America did not fully join the war until the Japanese planes bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
The Atomic bomb was part of the Manhattan project. The reason why they dropped the atomic bomb was to end World II it ended the war. However, it only started the cold war. The bomb was going to be made to defeat the Nazis but, by the time the bomb was tested the Nazis were already defeated. The United states of America was the first country to make and drop an atomic bomb.
Hey, have you heard of the atomic bomb? Yeah, one of the biggest bombs in the world, that we dropped on Japan and killed around around 80,000. Looking back in history, do you believe that we should have dropped the atomic bomb? Well, i do and here’s my reasons why.
The decision to drop the atomic bomb was a very hard decision for many people. The two sides to it were the people who didn’t feel the need to drop the atomic bomb and the people who did. It could have gone millions of different ways, but there was only one way that it went. Is it the right choice? Everyone had a different opinion of the atomic bomb dropping, although the atomic bomb was dropped you would be surprised at how many people didn’t want it dropped.
The Japanese weren't giving up easily, and were going to put up a good fight. Therefore, dropping the atom bomb was the right thing to do. The Japanese started the war when they decided to bomb us at Pearl Harbor.
If you think about it the atomic bomb saved more lives than it took. From a military standpoint “dropping [of] the atomic bomb Hiroshima [was a] . . . necessity”(Freeman). The bomb was dropped to “avoid an invasion of Japan”(PragerU), America not only ended the war, it was done without launching a ground invasion. If America had launched a land invasion than not, only would have American soldiers' lives have been lost, but more Japanese would have died as well.
By the middle of 1941, this war brought countries from all over the world in to fight, including Germany, France, Great Britain, and Japan. However, at this point the United States of America was uninvolved. The country had just gone through the Great Depression and morale was low, so the USA stayed out of the fight on both sides. However, in December 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, shocking millions of US citizens. The day after the bombing, President Roosevelt declared his nation would join the war.
