State Senate is also committees of 85th Legislature. 2 The members of Senate are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor to the committees (The Texas Senate). The Higher Education Committee lies under section 16 and focuses on the education of the public even after the high schools. Education is one of the important and basic human right every child should get. They should not be deprived of their basic rights. They can gain knowledge of various things and can secure their futures with a better job if they are highly educated. So, education should not be limited to high schools. They should get an opportunity to study further to make a better future. 5 The Higher Education Committee focuses on the colleges and universities of the state. There are nine members of this committee which one of chairperson and vice-chairperson. For the Texas House of Representative, the chairperson and the vice-chairperson is Representative Lozano and Representative Raney respectively (Higher Education Committee). 6 There are state agencies “the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation, the Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board, and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (Higher Education Committee).” The Chairperson of this Committee provides different public as well as private institutions of higher education. It is very important to have the public that is aware, educated and who can understand the problems of the state. When the general people are well educated and aware of the problems, they can work or can put some effort that will probably do betterment of the society. So, providing education to the public and making them aware of the situations is an important responsibility of a Representative. The Public Education Committee is the one that is under section 30 with 11 members in total. Representative Huberty is a chairperson, and Representative Bernal is the vice chair of the committee (Public Education Committee). This committee serves by opening public school and colleges to provide education to the public. The children from the families that cannot afford private schools and colleges can join the public schools. In this way, no one will be deprived of education which is their basic right, and as a result, they can cope up with the government to make their country better (Public Education
