America land of opportunity and freedom a place where people can begin again. The United States of America is often considered the greatest country in the world, but is it? America has freedom, safety, and the trust of other great nations so why would anybody deny the fact that America is the single greatest country on the planet. Many opponents often reverse the pros of America and render them invalid; therefore, justifying the case that America is not the greatest country in the world, but one of the many great nations that make up human civilization. America itself is the land of the free; however, America is not alone in this aspect. Countries such as England, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, and South Korea have freedom granted Americas transition from a colony under English rule to an independent nation was a catalyst for other nations to become independent, and therefore many believe America to be the first and best free nation. Many could argue that the mass of weapons and armed personal are for the protection of the nation which is not a bad thing; however, America accounted for thirty-seven percent of the worlds military expenditure in 2013 (Lawrence). This influx spending of money on weapon manufacturing and furthering wars on foreign soil is an unnecessary reality of American life; furthermore, the money spent on war materials could help further education where America ranks twentieth in education attainment (Lawrence).
