In article “La Vida Robot” Davis states “Now the four underprivileged high school students from phoenix Carl Hayden community High School have a better chance of paying for college –and their story may soon be a big-budget movie.” This shows that throughout everything the students have been through, at the end they were rewarded with something life changing. Also in article “The Freedom Writers Diary” the authors The Freedom Writers with Gruwell state “I guess I’ll have to wait for the war to end like Anne and Zlata did except I won’t be taken advantage of I’m going to be strong.”
A Soldier with good bearing often is professional, as well as a Soldier that has good professionalism often practices good bearing. One group of Soldiers that truly practice bearing and professionalism is the United States Army Drill Sergeant. In the Drill Sergeant Creed, it says, “I will insist that each Soldier meets and maintains the Army’s standards of military bearing and courtesy.” (3) Drill Sergeants live their lives by the creed and uphold the Army standard by proving and showing newly enlisted Soldiers the way, a Soldier should present themselves. Many major comparisons can be made between Coach Brooks coaching style in the development of the 1980 USA Olympic team and the development of Officer Candidates at OCS. Firstly, in indoctrination week at OCS Alfa Company built resiliency and came together though hardship in a stressful environment.
